Before the Program: A Life Shaped by Survival

Natasha’s story is one of resilience, but before she found Heart Brain Harmony, her life was defined by survival. Born into a turbulent home with a Greek mother and a Serbian father—both passionate, fiery, and emotionally charged—her childhood was a constant navigation between extremes. Her mother’s emotional unpredictability, fueled by alcohol, instilled deep-rooted guilt and self-blame in Natasha from a young age. Meanwhile, her father, though charismatic and carefree, was emotionally unavailable, leaving her with an internal split: one part of her longing for connection, the other conditioned to expect abandonment.

At just 15, this emotional chaos culminated in a breaking point—she ran away, hiding in a national park until helicopters located her. This event became a catalyst for a deeper investigation into her home life, ultimately revealing years of emotional and physical abuse. Moved to her father’s care, she was left largely to fend for herself, living alone for weeks at a time.

By 16, Natasha experienced a full nervous breakdown, triggering psychotic episodes and hospitalizations in adult psychiatric units. Diagnosed with bipolar disorder, she was put on a carousel of medications, none of which addressed the deeper cause of her suffering—her dysregulated nervous system and unresolved trauma. A cycle of hospitalisation, short-term stability, and relapse continued, reinforcing a sense of brokenness and helplessness.

The Turning Point: Finding the Missing Piece

Despite years of dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT) and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), Natasha realised something profound: these tools helped her cope, but they didn’t transform her. They gave her strategies to handle a crisis but didn’t rewire the nervous system that kept creating the crisis.

As a young mother to Andrea, Natasha found herself triggered by her daughter’s behaviours, echoes of her own childhood trauma. It wasn’t until she stumbled upon Heart Brain Harmony—in what she describes as a moment of immediate recognition—that everything began to shift. “As soon as I saw it, I felt peace,” she recalls. Her intuition knew before her mind did. She booked a call, and by the end of the conversation, she was in tears, “like a tap that couldn’t stop running.” This wasn’t just a program—it was her soul calling her home.

The Magic of the Universe: How It All Unfolded

Looking back, Natasha sees how perfectly the universe conspired to guide her toward this transformation. For years, she and Andrea travelled across Australia, embracing a nomadic lifestyle that was both freeing and exhausting. Each step of the journey felt guided, even when it wasn’t clear at the time. They embarked on a beautiful adventure, flowing seamlessly from one house sit to another, from farm stays to living in their motorhome, always trusting the journey and discovering safe, welcoming spaces along the way.

And then, as if by divine design, they were offered a long-term house sit on the Sunshine Coast. This was different. The energy shifted. The stability of having a home base allowed Natasha the space to explore, to seek, to ask new questions. It was in this space that she began searching for homeschooling options for Andrea, leading her to At The Treehouse. “It all lined up so perfectly,” she reflects. “I didn’t even realise it at the time, but the universe was moving every piece into place, leading me here.”

What if the journey itself had been orchestrated not just for survival, but for awakening? What if every challenge, every move, every new house was simply preparing her for this moment of deep healing? The synchronicity of it all was undeniable. The universe hadn’t abandoned her—it had trusted her to follow the breadcrumbs to her own transformation.

The Experience: Meeting Herself for the First Time

Walking into the program was like stepping onto a rollercoaster of self-discovery. At first, it was nerve-wracking—showing up vulnerably, exposing wounds that had been buried for decades. Yet, unlike the psychiatric wards of her past, this space felt different. There was no judgment, no sterile clinical detachment. Instead, there was radical acceptance. Natasha showed up—happy, angry, emotional, raw—and was met with deep presence, not correction. “For the first time, I didn’t feel like I had to fix myself.”

But transformation isn’t linear. Shortly after joining, she hit what she describes as a “big red button”—a deep trigger that sent her spiraling. In past versions of herself, this would have been the end. But this time was different. With the tools from the program and unwavering support, she moved through it rather than succumbing to it. “I realised I didn’t want to be the same anymore.” That moment, painful as it was, became the fork in the road where she reclaimed her power.

The Breakthrough: Rewriting the Narrative

For years, Natasha had been telling and retelling her trauma story. Every therapist, every hospital, every journal entry—it all reinforced an identity of suffering. But what she hadn’t realised was that she wasn’t just telling the story; she was recreating it. Every time she spoke of herself as broken, she was placing herself back into the box society had built for her.

Heart-brain coherence shattered that cycle. Instead of analysing her past, she learned to embody a new future. Instead of reinforcing her wounds, she rewired her nervous system to experience safety, resilience, and joy in real-time. She stopped playing victim. She stopped reinforcing the diagnoses. She stopped looking at herself through the lens of what had happened to her and began asking, “Who am I beyond my trauma?”

The answer? A woman who is deeply intuitive, empathic, powerful, and whole.

The Profound Truth: We Are Not Our Labels

Perhaps the most powerful realisation Natasha came to was this: “Don’t let someone else who isn’t you define your entire life.”

For years, she had accepted the labels given to her—bipolar, broken, dysfunctional. But what happens when you step outside the system that gave you those labels? When you stop letting external narratives shape your reality? When you rewrite the story, not from past pain, but from future possibility?

Everything changes.

Today, Natasha is a woman who has stepped into the flow of life. She is attracting abundance, synchronicities, and opportunities that once seemed impossible. She no longer tries to heal—she just is. Her reality has shifted because she has shifted.

And if there’s one message she wants to share with others stuck in the cycle of diagnosis and survival, it’s this:

“Trust yourself. Trust your intuition. Don’t conform to the box. Don’t let your spirit be crushed. Open the lid and set it free.”

Natasha didn’t just heal. She remembered who she was. And in doing so, she broke the cycle—for herself, for Andrea, and for generations to come.
